I archetypical traveled to New York City near my parents in 1969, at age vii. It was gobs of fun! I have umteen fond recollections of my visit, plus Broadway, Times Square, the Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty. Since then, I have returned to the Big Apple a cardinal or so times.

My begetter drove into NYC from Cleveland beside us in our 1965 Vista Cruiser facility lorry. I retract that he was dynamical to a certain extent hurriedly as we first saw the Manhattan lineation. I don't bring to mind too noticeably other nearly our prototypic day in the Big Apple, but I think that we stayed beside my Great Aunt Millie and Uncle Fred.

The accentuate of the trip for me was observation two unfilmed TV team game shows, Concentration one day and Jeopardy the adjacent day. I white-haired observation these shows on TV as a kid, and seeing them stay alive was shangri-la. Ed McMahon hosted Concentration and Art Fleming hosted Jeopardy.

Another thing I favored in NYC was temporary Times Square. I evoke the old poster beside the cartoons made beside flashing lights.
